Hand Dug Basement!

This basement was found during a natural gas call, in two story tax payer.  We actually forced entry to the second floor from the rear to find a burner left on with the flame out, ultimately filling the apartment up with NG.  To add to this, we found a sleeping tenant in one of the bedrooms.  Never the less while securing the gas in the basement we stumbled upon this hand dug alteration to the old unfinished basement!  It appears they put in a new set of steps, but dug out about 75% of the basement to gain clearance for the new heating system that was installed.  The first floor was an occupied hair salon with, tanning beds, and spray tan booths.

Building- This was an end of the row, 2 story ordinary, taxpayer.  I appologise for not having any exterior photos, but I will grab them next time Im working.

S.S. Chum Bucket is in Service

Today we put the S.S. Chum Bucket in Service (AKA Marine 51) down at the Marina.  After giving the almighty vessel a quick bath and a fresh coat of wax, she was off to the Delaware River!!!
